Do you ever feel like you've got that black cloud following around you?
Like you can't possibly try to change this hard to change and the day, the days go past you nothing has happened yet?
I talk with people of all levels of success and it's the same conversations.
When does the change come?
When does the real success come?
When will I be free? Safe? Secure?
When will it be enough?
Everyone, and I mean everyone, talks about what the next person is doing. What the other person has, what projects they are doing and money they are generating. How they wish they were at that level.
And they sigh.
As if they are missing something. As if it's perfect to be in that other position. To be that other person.
And maybe it is.
Strong maybe here.
I work with plenty of stars and celebrities. I work with people who demand tens of thousands of dollars per project.
And guess what.
Everyone is struggling.
If I didn't care about you, I would tell you you are right. They have it all. They have the fame. They have some fortune.
I'd be there next to gossiping about her sloppy moves so we could hate on her too.
But the truth is we all have our stuff.
I want to tell you badly that they were lucky, that they got their big break and someone just found them. Wa la.
Magic happened for them, magic will happen for you.
But it doesn't work that way. That's not real life.
What they do, even with all their stuff, is focus.
Again and again and again.
They accept the humiliation. They accept the circumstances in front of them.
And they push.
Everyone tells us we have to do what scares us. Whatever that means.
Really, what you have to do is push yourself.
Start with 20 minutes. Push yourself for 20 minutes today.
Just make the commitment to do something today.
Not next week. Not next month.
Push yourself today.
You've got this.
And ... you're welcome. ;)
LEAD. Lovelies. Lead.
--> France is running out of butter for their croissants. This is proof that there is a market for everything. And it costs to build everything. What is your product supporting?
--> How fun would it be to work with your favorite brands and get paid for it? My girl Janel is the best person I know doing this type of work. She reaches out, connects with brands and gets them to work with her. All through email. She doesn't have the biggest blog. Or the biggest following. What she has is a killer awesome process. That's she (I think) is giving away!! Check out her email course on teaching others to connect with brands. This truly could be a real income stream for you. #thinkonit
--> This busier you are the more quiet time you need. Harvard says so.
--> Erin Kelly from Member Vault had a great video this past week on gamify-ing your content. She also has an awesome download: 52 Emails to Engage, Sell & Motivateyou need to check out!
--> This month, as we move into November and the holiday season, give yourself the (free) gift of not only knowing you're doing a great job but feel that way too!
Quick side note from Ashleigh. Here are my most favorite tools ever.
- For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings. My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
- To focus during the day I love to focus@will. They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does. I blare the classical music. I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
- Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away. She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money! Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny. Not. going. to. lie
LAST BUT NOT LEAST.
--> This week's podcast was so amazing! I interviewed Courtney Cowan from Milk Jar Cookies. She had a love of cookies and knocked it out of the park with an amazing company, brand, brick & mortar on the exclusive Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills AND now has cookies you can bake through William Sonoma! Listen to her story here!
