“Self-care is how you take your power back.” Lalah Delia

The reality is this.
I am in a hotel room in Dallas tonight willing myself to be well.

The last few days I have been laid up.
Fever sweats.
Head being slammed by hammer.

That's when you have to take care of you.
My husband stepped in.
My girls stepped in.

What a friendly reminder of how important self-care is,
how others are so dependent on you,
and what's *really* important...

Lead Ladies Lead.

--> Stop saying you're so busy.
You're just being annoying to everyone else when you say that.
Everyone is busy.
Everyone is doing the best they can.
No, no one does the work you do.
But you don't do the work they do either.

Get focused and stay humble.

Manage This.

--> Facebook. Ohhh Facebook.
Everyone on the news and online is worried about Facebook.

What did they share?  Err... Allow access to?
They knew that 80+ Million people had their data shared to Cambridge Analytics.  They were testing their platform as it grew.
I don't doubt that there are 3 or 5 or 15 more Cambridge Analytics.
I don't doubt that my data has been shared 1001 or a gazilion and one times.
I don't doubt it for one half of one second.

But here's what else.
My mom taught me
"Don't write anything down that you wouldn't want to be published in front of the whole wide world."

Last but not least.

-->  That's it for today.
Wishing you a great day ahead!

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie.
