How to be Extraordinary

"You are doing a great job!"
-Ashleigh Blatt

Today's time, today's world is about accumulating.
And abundance.
Don't you think?

There so MUCH that MUCH is too much.

We have this need for more and more and more if for no other reason than that fear of missing out.

I have a girlfriend where the only time she calls me is when she hears I am having people over or that I am having a great dinner party.
She has the FOMO.
A trip to Costco or Target.  That's hundreds of dollars spent accumulating.
Accumulating big and more.

I don't want stuff.  I am filled to the brink with stuff.
I am done.

I am done with abundance.
Been there done that.

I am turning to extraordinary.
That's what I want.
To be, to create extraordinary.

And when I think about extraordinary.  I think that's the new word.  My new word.
(And you're welcome to copy if you so choose.)

In thought, extraordinary can be overwhelming.
That's a big task.
Not gonna lie.

But here's how you create that.
Become that.
Do that.

First, you take it bit by bit.
Step by step.

Then you acknowledge "You're doing a great job!" here and now.
Right now, in this moment.

Say it to yourself.  And if you need help feeling it, girl, I got you covered.

We put together a 5 Day Journey to Understanding You're Doing a Great Job andFeeling That Way too!

LEAD. Lovelies.  Lead.

-->  A great sales story only because they did some research and had the guts to take action.  Cliff notes version: The old employer would auction of old equipment to the staff.  One guy saw a scanner, did the research on it and knew it was in excellent condition.  He thought he could scan some of grandma's photos.  He told his employer to skip the auction and he'd like to buy it right then and there.  The employer said "$10?  Is that fair?"  He then turned around and sold it for $10,000 making a $9,990 profit.
Research what's in front of you.  Take action immediately afterwards.

--> Facebook. Oh Facebook.  As you probably know Facebook changed its algorithm again this week.  Your organic reach for your Facebook page is going Kaputz and Facebook wants you to pay for the posts you want to be seen.  A lot of people are freaking out but here a lot of people are wondering how this will last too.  What about those great viral videos?  Will those all be paid for?  Either way here is what you need to think about.
Don't flip out.  Think about your customer.  How you can engage with them and connect with them.

--> Speaking of engagement, I am having a super fun convo with Customer Happiness and Engagement Expert Erin Kelly coming up and I cannot wait to tell you her awesome tips and tricks!

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie

-->  This podcast is still alive and being listened to!  It's with Jillian Tobher Leslie from Catch My Party (a crazy success party planning blog) and MiloTree.  After our conversation I wanted to hug her and go to a conference with her to meet her IRL like we talked about!  She's building giant business after giant business and it was so fun to talk with her about it!

PS- We think you'll be interested in these too!
