“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” Michael Jordan
Yesterday it was announced that Jeff Bezos, Warren Buffett and the financial brilliance behind J.P. Morgan are teaming up to create enterprise-wide changes to the Healthcare industry.
And there it was right in our face.
A new dream team was created!
Apparently, when Jeff's executives get together,
they collaborate and
They write out their craziest ideas,
create a plan and
then work on executing them.
Day by day.
He reads the paper every day.
Talks with his close-knit crew.
He actually has a super small team.
Trusted and beloved.
And they are in their routine.
We are in this amazing economy right now where it seems so exciting.
Makes us believe the next step is so easy.
That the next LEVEL is right there.
Ease and freedom.
The biggest challenge my clients tell me is that not about the vision they hold,
not about the dreams they want to achieve,
not even in which path should they take.
They all feel that this success is right there at their fingertips.
"BUT..." The problem is in executing.
"I know what to do," they say.
They're wishing for that waitlist,
that stack of clients just oozing to come in
They are looking for their name to be in the spotlight.
And looking for the connection to make an offer.
But they don't follow through.
101 strategies could work.
Maybe it's the team effort that makes the difference.
Does Jeff Bezos have enough resourcefulness on his own to change an entire industry?
I would bet he does.
But he sought to expand his team.
Because together they know their chances of success are greater together than working alone.
Together your chances of success are greater than going at it alone.
What's the statement?
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
What I know for sure, is nothing could be truer.
If you're nodding your head because you know it's true. Then #GAMEON girl.
If you're also quietly wondering how to get past your own "BUT..." or what kind of with a new colleague could keep you moving your forward,
think also about being Fierce & Focused.
You should know...
--> Home prices are on the rise. Which also means your local community will grow too.
--> Need a business idea? I'd look into buying paper straws at an amazing deal and then call every restaurant in California.
How others are managing...
--> “You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action.” - Tony Robbins.
Action is the only thing that matters.
--> Let the good habits go and get rid of those regular meetings! (Cliff notes version: Sometimes your standing meeting is just a habit. Stay uncomfortable and stay focused on what's priority!)
--> Instagram now allows businesses to schedule posts.
How to give...
Last but not least...
--> Jeff, Warren, JP, oh my!
Charlena, Roshanda, Pamela - hey hey!
Ann, Lauren, Dena and Sandy too!
Don't go it alone. Go it "Fierce & Focused"!
Quick side note from Ashleigh. Here are my most favorite tools ever.
- For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings. My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
- To focus during the day I love to focus@will. They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does. I blare the classical music. I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
