The Power Squad Project

“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”
– Diane Mariechild

Helloooo Mama!

We are in full summer swing over here.  There are camps and meetings.  Interviews and interruptions.  Promotions and playdates!  A fair balance between your turn and my turn and it has been oh so wonderful when the MIL shows up to "take the girls for an hour or two."  LOVE HER!  You can take my kids anytime!

--> Jeff Bullas is always right on the mark.  Just the other day my Mastermind was talking about the move to connection, to live events and cool experiences.  Then today there is was - one the mark - Why Live Events Should Be At The Center of Your Marketing Strategy.  Cliff notes: Live events create deeper relationships and allow you to create a more effective brand narrative.  It's no coincidence that Apple announces everything big with a Live Event.  Sales closes 20% higher from Live Events.

--> My Mastermind group also talked to Jill Stanton from Screw the Nine to Five this week.  She was ah-mazing!  Full of value and info and she dropped the F bomb several times over!  (Which, I am not going to lie, I really kinda love.)  Here are the cliff notes of that convo:
1. Negativity and slimy salesmanship is OUT - hence she's shutting down her 45,000+ Facebook Group.  Jill was talking about how transparent people are when they go into groups and how the inauthenticity is so transparent.  She wants real life and real connection again.  (Love that!)
2. Experiences are IN.  Jeff said it too!! The trend is here!  (Anyone scheduling one we need to know about?)
3. Tone it up has a kick ass platform. (Which is so crazy she said that because I love their brand and actually semi-study their "how" too.)
4. Networking is now oh-so transparent. "Pick your brain" has become transparent too.  Restricting access is horrid.  Just be real.
5. "Stop being fearful.  If it's not moving the needle then F it!"

--> Remember that seed I planted?  SXSW is a big deal.  It used to solely be a music festival but as of late it is and has expanded into the new TED talk.  (IMHO.)  If you have an idea, this is the place to try to share it.  They are opening up their PanelPicker for 2018 at the end of the month.  Now is the time to get on it.

I was added to a Facebook Power Admin Group, I assume because I am an admin of some of my celeb clients Facebook groups... If you guys have a group question you want me to ask, shoot it my way.  Right now there is lots of talk about blocking people, removing comments and other similar how-tos.  That said - it wasn't in your head that searching and tagging were wonky in Facebook groups.  It was error the dev team was working through and hope they have now fixed!

This meditation is the one my coach sent me to listen to.    I asked you to send me your meditation favorites and Lauren, a Power Squad Project reader, said she got into meditating after reading Unplug: A Simple Guide to Meditation for Busy Skeptics and Modern Soul Seekers by Suze Yalof Schwartz.  Follow it up with the app and away you go.

Last but not least your comments are coming in and they are oh-so appreciated!

"I love that it's a quick, witty read - but most importantly, I love that it is RELATABLE!"

"I love that I can laugh out loud, be emotionally moved and become a more fired up and inspired entrepreneur all in ONE email!"

Those were just a few comments made recently about The Power Squad Project and I just want to say - Thanks.

You guys rock!
That said - please oh please tell me what you want?  What do you want more of?  < Like, really, hit reply AND let's do this! >

Wishing you an easy way Happy Hump day!
