Sunday's Power Woman featuring Lisa Carpenter

“You have greatness within you.” Les Brown

Sundays for me are resting, rejuvenating, getting organized and daydreaming.
Truth be told, this just drove up to the mountains and are skiing!  It's a new kind of way to relax!

Every Sunday in 2018 we are featuring power women.
Some women are in my life and inside my circle.
Some outside.
I am beyond excited to introduce you to Lisa.
You'll see from her discussion below, she is a woman to bring into your circle!

Please meet my friend, coach, and confidant Lisa.

Your Name & Company

Lisa Carpenter Coaching Inc.

I help driven women create emotional and physical wellness so they can stop feeling burnt out, run down, stressed out and like crap in their bodies, business, and lives.  I help them create more peace, ease, and success by embracing a non-negotiable approach the puts the focus on working from the inside out so they can become better leaders and make the impact in the world they were put here to make.

How do you show up as a Leader?

I’m a bullshit slayer and truth teller.  My messages aren't sugar-coated because my job is to create emotional, physical and spiritual transformation for my clients but it’s always done by being lovingly disruptive.  I have a ninja-like way of seeing right into the heart of what’s holding my clients back (and it’s never what they think it is).

What's one way you manage your life that you feel you have mastered?

My commitment to my personal wellness comes first always… from the thoughts I think, to the foods I eat.
Time for me is non-negotiable {and yes I do this even with being an entrepreneur, 3 kids, and a self-employed hubby}.  The things we love we always take time to care for… if you’re not taking care of yourself, it’s a reflection of how you feel about yourself on a deep core level.

How do you give to your community?

I’m generally live streaming multiple times a week in Facebook and always have a pro-bono client on my calendar.
It’s also important that I share all the amazing people I know with my community and try to do regular live streams highlighting one of them.
Nothing great is done alone.
As the saying goes… if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far go together.
I 100% believe that when we work together we all rise and my heart will always reach out to give my time when I see someone struggling that I know is caught in their own stuff and just needs the right nudge to shine.

What's the number one tip you would give another woman entrepreneur?

Learn to be kind to yourself above everything.
Chase your dreams but don’t be a judging, criticizing mean girl to yourself in the process… Oh and there is no “THERE".
The more you can learn to stay in the process (or the journey) the happier and more successful you’ll feel.

What tech tool could you not live without?

Zoom hands down.

What is your favorite business book?

Not a traditional business book but wealth consciousness and a healthy relationship with money is a non-negotiable if you want to run a successful and profitable business.
You are a badass at making money by Jen Sincero is a book I’ve listened to more times than I can count.
I’m often head down in a psychology/mindset book and don’t read a ton of traditional business books.
Playing Big by Tara Mohr is also great.

What does self-care look like for you?

Healthy thoughts, food, and movement every day.
It can also look like going for a drive with the sunroof and windows open and the music turned up as loud as possible or watching any show that lets me disappear into my imagination.

What's your favorite quote?

"Live by what you trust, not by what you fear."
a close second…

"This life is 100% your responsibility and no one is coming to save you."

Both are powerful reminders that we are the creators of our lives and experiences and have more power than we realize.

Thanks, Lisa - I simply heart you!

Check out her bestselling book that's out this week!

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie.
