"Inspiration Is for Amateurs—The Rest of Us Just Show Up and Get to Work"

I can't stop laughing every time I think I about it...
I was literally riding in a monster truck on Wednesday.

It's so out of my world, out of my life, out of his mind big that I can't stop laughing.
But it was necessary!
It was bumpy.
It was crazy.
I got a 15-acre tour of a property that my client wants to purchase and build something even bigger on top.

Say what??
I just laughed!

How am I supposed to climb into this thing?

It took months for him to convince me to make the trip down.
I can't even begin to tell you the number of people I talk to, the number of business ideas and dreams.
Shoot, sometimes I have too many ideas and too many dreams.

Here's the difference, as far as I can tell between the winners and the losers.

The vision combined with the pull.

Here's an example.

I am listening to this Elon Musk's biography right now.
His whole life he's been into Space, been into energy, been into creating something bigger than anything anybody has ever imagined.
He's worked at and created many different companies and processes.
He's been all over the place publically but with a private, internal pull towards one thing.
Space. Energy.
He worked and learned and grew.  Professionally and personally.
Now he has Muskland and SpaceX and Tesla. (Oh my!)
He's changing the world one step at a time.
With many many side steps at a time.

Now.  My client.
He has a clear-as-day pull.
He has an opportunity in front of him that if the pieces come together could be very lucrative.
Very lucrative and very fitting with everything he's been working towards.
Step by sidestep.

I know my vision.
My pull.
If you've been with me for a while, you know it too.
My gift.
And then my love for women and women entrepreneurs.

I am okay with missteps.  I am okay with learning.
I am okay figuring out how to get my foot so high up in the sky so I can actually climb into that darn Monster Truck.
So I can see the land, the property and more importantly, the pull.

So I can learn, grow and take huge steps and sidesteps forward.
It's as real and as unbelievable as me tying Space, Monster Trucks and Women Entrepreneurs all together!

Stay with your pull as you keep moving forward, my friend.

Next week we are going to talk about Blogging.
Blogging blogging blogging.
I treat this activity differently than most of my peers.
Stay tuned in because I'll talk through how my friends use it and how I use it.

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie.
