You said you need conversions.
You said you need sales.
You said you need moolah!
I hear it all the time. All. the. time.
The circumstances in front of them are distracting.
They have kids, sick ones, husbands with demands.
They have family in town or it was their birthday or they start but stop just as quickly.
I get it.
I have kiddos too.
I have a daughter with severe allergies that sends us to the hospital far more than I would ever wish for.
I have the husband who helps as best as he can and the carpool requirements that put me in a car over 2 hours a day.
I get it.
But here I want to be your friend.
I want to tell you how I understand.
That this project of yours can start next week.
I am a huge proponent of women eating bonbons. And I think you should too.
But GIRL, I am also here to tell you, that today, this very moment you can take action too.
Sit down with paper and pen in hand and write out the one thing you want to sell this year.
Write out what you want to earn and map out a plan for getting you from where you are now to where you want to be.
You don't have to shoot for the moon.
And you don't have to have some wild and crazy plan.
Take into account that you too may have to do hospital runs and 2-hour carpools.
That you have to schedule the next ski trip and all the things you have to do.
This is 30 minutes. Maybe even 20.
Something you can do RIGHT NOW.
Just make that commitment to do it today.
Not tomorrow. But today.
You can do this.
You should know...
--> Email is about to change. Google has announced that automatic updates can happen in email.
--> The In N Out Burger chain pays it's store managers $160,000 a year which is 3x higher than the industry standard. Why? "a loyal workforce means increased productivity, less employee turnover, and in the long run larger profits."
--> I keep thinking about the fact that Las Vegas, Seattle, Austin and Denver are the fastest growing economies in the US. You asked about sales and conversions, these economies are growing so fast they can't keep up. Offer your services there. We have started...
How others are managing.
--> When, exactly, to schedule your exercising. Cliff notes version: If you're trying to lose weight before breakfast. If you're trying to avoid injury, late afternoon or early evening when your body is warm.
--> How to regain control of your calendar. Cliff notes version: Schedule your most important activities on your calendar. Use that time as if it were a meeting and work it. Then expand on that idea and create a template for the week. Block out your time each day and each week.
--> Less and less people are spending time on Facebook.
How we give.
--> By Boycotting. You know my daughter suffers from severe allergies so anyone (ANYONE) making light of it or even introducing "allergy bullying" is a giant no no. Zero tolerance. And for that matter, we are boycotting Peter Rabbit.
Last but not least.
Quick side note from Ashleigh. Here are my most favorite tools ever.
- For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings. My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
- To focus during the day I love to focus@will. They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does. I blare the classical music. I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
- Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away. She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money! Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny. Not. going. to. lie.
