"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." The Godfather
Traditional business is back.
It's that simple and that hard.
How do I know? Because I know.
I am doing the dirty work. I am having the conversations.
Many, many conversations.
In fact, I have had more conversations with entrepreneurs, business owners, friends, and colleagues lately than I have ever had in my entire career.
My calendar is booked to the brim. And I love it.
I am talking with entertainers.
Here's what everyone is talking about.
Doing what's unnatural to them, to ensure success.
Or, hiring it out.
This January seems to have a slow start for some. And I get it.
This flu is awful!
This snow is terrible.
The world works in funny ways.
But you have to do what's unnatural.
You have to have trick yourself into believing the unnatural is good for you.
Is fun for you.
Is a big moment for you!
You have to do anything it takes to create the momentum and let it set fire!!
And make an offer they can't refuse!
Lead Ladies Lead.
--> It has come out that Millenials don't really get Friends. And now SJP has said Sex & the City wouldn't work today either. The world is "too cynical".
Can you imagine? These classics that we loved and lived by and now out of touch.
It's a great reminder that...
Now is the time.
Now is your time.
That idea. That move. That moment. Life happens every day. How are you going to show up?
--> If you don't clearly define a work-life balance, you'll never get it. Write it down. Map it out. What will you do in a day?
--> The #1 Meeting High-Achievers schedule every week. Cliff notes version: meditation aka time for yourself.
--> Manage your winter snacks! Minimal workout gear is in!
--> Give thanks. Stand up. Pay that $100k fine just for the principle of it.
Last but not least.
Quick side note from Ashleigh. Here are my most favorite tools ever.
- For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings. My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
- To focus during the day I love to focus@will. They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does. I blare the classical music. I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
- Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away. She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money! Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny. Not. going. to. lie.
