"You are doing a great job!"
You guys are amazing! I asked and you answered.
Yes, the survey. The super quick survey. (Which btw - is still around if you have a moment and haven't filled it out.)
But essentially this is what you are telling me.
What you need to know.
You are doing a great job!
I am. not. kidding.
This is what you're doing. You're starting businesses. You're evolving businesses. You are hustling. Growing. Generating people around you, an audience, a customer base that adore you.
Is it perfect?
Is it going to be?
But here's the thing. You are DOING it. You are figuring it out.
You are stumbling - sure. Fine.
So did my kid when she was learning to walk.
So did I when I learning to talk, to write, to podcast, to sell, to write, to connect.
Nothing is going to be perfect.
This process, this business that we are in is an evolution.
You have to accept that you are learning and give yourself that time.
Give yourself that credit too. You are learning. AND doing.
This, my dear, is an entrepreneur's life.
You have good. You have bad. You have roller coasters.
You have sunny days that only a handful of people - or maybe even just you - could really ever understand.
Those wins are amazing.
Take them. Hold on to them.
And keep going.
Keep going my dear friends.
You've got this.
LEAD. Lovelies. Lead.
--> 13 signs of a person with integrity.
--> Elon Musk is revolutionizing education. Honestly, I believe anything he takes on. Cliff Notes: The goal is to develop methods to teach the 250 million children who do not have access to primary or secondary education the means to teach themselves to read, write, and do math within 15 months. #gameonelongameon
--> Traction. You care about traction. As in social media, relationships, sales relationships, personal relationships, familiar relationships. Old relationships and new ones. Let me tell you how to do this in two words. FOLLOW. UP.
Why am I so close to my brother, his kids and that part of my family. Because they were a priority and I called and called and called. I followed up.
How did I get celebrity clients within the first 3 months of being in business? Because I created value and followed up. I followed up again and again and again.
Put your energy where you care to gather traction. It's that simple and that hard. I am happy to do a podcast about this specifically in the coming weeks. If you have questions, let me know and I will answer them directly.
--> How the sports industry gets things done. Cliff notes version: A routine reduces the number of decisions you have to make. Set a routine and work it the process.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST.
--> This week I talked with Jillian Tobher Leslie from Catch My Party (a crazy success party planning blog) and MiloTree. After our conversation I wanted to hug her and go to a conference with her to meet her IRL like we talked about! She's building giant business after giant business and it was so fun to talk with her about it!
--> We talked about doing, being a doer and doing some more Taylor Swift style.
Quick side note from Ashleigh. Here are my most favorite tools ever.
- For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings. My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
- To focus during the day I love to focus@will. They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does. I blare the classical music. I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
- Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away. She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money! Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny. Not. going. to. lie
