Here's an open secret.

Everyone assumes I am a pretty big agency or consulting firm.
That I bigger than I am.

Just last week someone said to me "your team must be huge!"
Huge?  No.

There is a perception that in order to "play with the big dogs" you have also haveto be a big dog.
But it's just not true.

Take it from me, you just have to go for it.
Just have to go for the big dog.

Like any entrepreneur and growing business I have had my struggles,
I have had my challenges both publically and privately.
But I don't ever stop that from operating in the space I so choose.
The space I desire.

I learn and grow through the embarrassment.

For better or worse, I typically dive right in.
Even if it's not always pretty...

So here's what I am consistently asked.

How do I have the confidence to go after celebrities and bigwigs?
I don't believe my mistakes and failures define me.
I believe they are a part of the larger testing process.
And I don't judge you for your mess and I don't judge myself for my mess.

How do I get in touch with them?
I just do.
I study them (usually because I want to learn something from them)
and then I make the right effort.

For me, it's a part of a long-term process.
The testing process.
To a grander vision.

As a small fish today, I am diving even though if it's pretty ugly.
I am testing and I am growing.

What are you working on?  Testing in your grander vision?
Think on it...

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blaretheclassicalmusic.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way tomaking money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie.
