TIME is my friend

The Power Squad Project

“Nobody sets the rules but you.
You can design your own life.”
-Carrie-Anne Moss

I am writing this before I am officially off the market and officially on vacay.
For my clients that is.

TIME. Time is my friend.

OMGosh and for a few days, I will have new time, different time.
In fact, we went to the beach yesterday and I sat there thinking.  My gosh I may read an actual book.
I may read a NON-business book.

What's great is I put out on Facebook a request for recommendations and an hour later my girlfriend was bringing me her favorite beach read!!
(Ummm... the universe has my back!)

But it makes me smile... TIME is my friend.

Experiential time.

Spicy vodka drinks.

Sleeping until my back hurts.

Sunning until my face hurts.

OMGoodness.  Connection.

Driving.  Lots of driving.

Audio books.

Lake life.

Beach life.

The Naval Academy.

The Capital.

The White House.

The Mall.

Crabs.  OMgoodness Maryland Blue Crab.

I. die.

Time with my girls.

Time with my family.

OMGoodness.  Time with my bestie of besties.

There is so much to look forward to.

But here’s what’s crazy too.

Aside from a few touristy spots, getting to be with my bestie one on one for one real night, and eating Maryland Blue Crab until my fingers hurt.

I live this life.
Let me repeat.
I LIVE this life.
I am connected.  I am reading and by the pool. I am sleeping and sunning.  I am at the beach.  I am by the water.  I am listening and learning.  I am with my family as much as I possibly can.
Heck, I had a friend not only bring me her favorite beach read AND our kids got to play for an hour.

I created this life.  I am living what I love.

Vacation is fun.  No doubt about it.  It’s nice to switch things up.

But this was consciously and subconsciously you can create a life you love.

Why are you working?
Why are you taking the actions you do?

Step out of the race.  Focus on the important.

Create the life you love by connecting and consuming as much as you can!

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie.
