Best answer ever to "What do you do?"

"When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around." Willie Nelson

I am always hungry.

I am hungry for my favorite foods.  I am ravenous.
I am hungry for knowledge and learning.
I am ravenous.

I am hungry for helping. Doing. Working. Being.

I am hungry for doing good.
I am hungry for connection.

I talked with the amazing Jasmine Star today (cannot wait to publish that interview!).  She talked about being hungry for growth.  Hungry for knowledge.
And being in the business of "action of gratitude".

Don't you just want to get up and hug the woman for that?  I mean it wasn't a line but it was the BEST line.

That's her work.  What do you do?
I am in the business of action of gratitude.

Guess what else.  When you ask about the value you bring.  The sale you are requesting.  This is IT.

We talked recently about being obsessed
Being obsessed
Now I am talking about being hungry.

How does this relate to your business?

Because this is your gift.
Your obsession.  Your hunger.  Your gift.  This is what is true to you.
This is the value you bring.  This is IT.

Your work, your authentic skills, obsessions, hunger... this is you.  Your gratitude. Your gift.

Keep going my friend.

LEAD. Lovelies.  Lead.

--> I always joke with my husband over terrible commercials.  "Someone got paid to make that."  BUT THIS.  THIS Commercial - I love!  AND from Talbots!  Woo!  #becauseimalady

--> BitcoinJ-Coin and Crypto-currencies!  Oh my!  Wonder what a woman-focused new currency would look like.... #thinkingonit

--> Traction.  You care about traction.  As in social media, relationships, sales relationships, personal relationships, familiar relationships.  Old relationships and new ones.   Let me tell you how to do this in two words.  FOLLOW. UP.

Why am I so close to my brother, his kids and that part of my family.  Because they were a priority and I called and called and called.  I followed up.
How did I get celebrity clients within the first 3 months of being in business?  Because I created value and followed up.  I followed up again and again and again.
How am I building relationships with the coolest of cool people?  People I am honored to call my friend.  Because I follow up.

Put your energy where you care to gather traction.  AND FOLLOW UP.  It's that simple and that hard.

--> Instagram is planning on integrating with podcasting.  Don't know many details here but change is coming...

Quick side note from Ashleigh.  Here are my most favorite tools ever.

  • For audio motivation - Relentless by Tim Grover. I listen to him as I was in the mornings.  My walk always becomes a power walk after listening.
  • To focus during the day I love to focus@will.  They say music helps you focus and for me it surely does.  I blare the classical music.  I am not sure how many people my age choose that over techno but either way I love it.
  • Rosemarie Groner (from the Busy Budgeter) is a friend and I just LOVE how much she gives everything away.  She tells you and anyone she can her detailed way to making money!  Start with her Pinterest Strategy Guide that is worth every penny.  Not. going. to. lie
